The real cut in OPEC supplies and tensions in the Middle East outweighed fears of a possible decrease in oil demand. Tensions in the Middle East also contribute to price increases, especially concerns about a deal restricting Iran's nuclear program.
"OPEC and its allies are doing everything possible to support the market. Oil prices should stay high enough in the coming months, or at least they certainly should not fall," PVM believes. Oil also supports forecasts for US reserves, which, according to analysts, will be reduced by 3.6 million barrels.
